Lunar Mirror

The design for this free-standing piece was inspired by the lunar orbit. Never static and all-seeing, the piece is conceived as a double sided mirror, resting on a metal plinth. The lower support is finished with a stainless steel surface, with a horizontal slit on the upper face that hosts the hemispherical reflective surface, proposed to be placed in a soft angle to resemble the eclipse of the moon.

The MORPHE series is the succession of the brand’s previous collections where serenity meets radical aesthetics. The concept is the amalgamation of functional pursuit and imaginative form with the design aiming to take shape in between opposing states. Captured at the moment of transition, the materiality follows the paradox where seemingly solid materials take fluid forms and vice versa. The design products of this series are imagined as shape shifting not only in their objective conception but also as mediums that also shift their hosting enclosures.
