LARNACA HOUSE 04
A two-storey house located in the picturesque village of Lefkara, known for its rich cultural heritage and exquisite handicrafts. Constructed from local stone, this listed property beautifully merges traditional architecture with modern living.
Upon entering the home, you are welcomed into a charming patio. Directly opposite, you will find an existing concrete staircase, which we preserved during the restoration. Adjacent to the staircase, we created a small sitting area with a fireplace, enclosed by glass doors that are folding back against the middle stone linear wall, seamlessly blending indoor and outdoor spaces.
Behind the three linear walls by this area lies a linear dining area, perfect for family and friends gatherings. To the left, a contemporary stainless steel kitchen counter enhances the functionality of the space, complemented by sleek stainless steel shelves for storing everyday glassware and dishes. Adding a touch of local artistry, a Lefkaritiko handicraft is prominently displayed on the wall near the tide bench, celebrating the village’s heritage in silver and lace crafts.
The home features traditional wooden ceilings that enhance the warmth and character of the living areas.
As you ascend the staircase, you’ll find existing openings in the walls that serve as book storage or a small library, promoting a love for reading and creativity. Upon reaching the upper floor, you are greeted by a large window that provides an abundance of natural light. A day bed situated near the window invites you to relax and enjoy a book in the sun-drenched space.
The upper level also includes two well-appointed bedrooms and a modern bathroom, all designed with comfort and style in mind. Consistent with the village’s architectural guidelines, all wooden openings will maintain their traditional brown color, preserving the historical integrity of the property.
